A HUDDERSFIELD hotel is enjoying a baby boom.

Four employees at the Cedar Court Hotel, Ainley Top, have announced they are expecting.

And a fifth colleague has just celebrated the arrival of her baby son.

It is the first time there have been so many pregnant mums working together at the hotel at the same time.

General manager Maria Florou said: “There is definitely something in the air. This is the first time we’ve had so many new babies on the way. Everywhere I turn there seems to be an expectant mum.”

Leanne Greene, of Clayton West, started the ball rolling.

The hotel receptionist was taken by surprise when she went into labour seven weeks early – before her maternity leave had even started.

Little Logan Hendley was delivered by emergency Caesarean weighing 4lbs.

Leanne said: “So much for me putting my feet up for a rest before my baby was born. I am loving being a mum – I can’t stop looking at him.”

Bar worker Kay Novak, 21, of Lindley is expecting her second child any day now.

Following her will be Dalton mum Emma Ashness.

The 24-year-old – who works in the housekeeping team – is due to give birth to her second baby in February.

Bar worker Sarah Broadbent, 26, of Oakes, is also having her second child in March.

Receptionist Rebecca Sykes is also due in March.

The Birchencliffe mum-to-be said: “I am excited and nervous at the same time, but I can’t wait to be a first time mum.”
