BAGS of dried and tinned foods have been collected by kind- hearted pupils and staff at a Brockholes school.
Pocket money donations of £162 have also been collected by pupils of Brockholes CE Junior and Infant School for the tsunami appeal.
The school has strong links with the neighbouring Brockholes Methodist Chapel which launched a community appeal following the Boxing Day tragedy.
It is now working with the chapel to help the appeal and is also planning a school day of action within the next few weeks to raise further funds.
