THREE Huddersfield bands have joined forces to raise funds for victims of the Asian tsunami.

Established acts The Po'Boys, Funkhed and young group Munk will perform at Punk and Funk for the Tsunami at Huddersfield Town Hall tomorrow.

All proceeds from the gig will go to the Disaster Emergency Committee's tsunami relief fund.

Doors open at 6.30pm and the bands start playing from 7.30pm. Entry is £5.

Tickets can be bought on the door or in advance from the town hall, GTR Guitars in Wood Street and Earnshaws Motorcycles on Manchester Road, Long- royd Bridge.

Earnshaws have sponsored the event, as have Lanson Homes, Real People and mattress makers Komfi.

Neil Foster, one of the organisers, said: "Thanks to the sponsorship all our costs have been covered. That means all the money from every ticket sold can go to charity."
