BARCLAYS banks are now ready to take donations in support of Huddersfield policeman Mark Carter’s charity run for our Sign Up For Sudders appeal.

Branches in the Huddersfield, Halifax, Mirfield and Batley areas are now able to accept donations in support of Pc Carter’s 14-mile run.

Simply walk into the branch and ask to make a donation to the Sign Up For Sudders account.

Pc Carter, 25, is undertaking the run from Bradford police HQ to the Pink Picnic – Huddersfield’s biggest gay pride event – at Castle Hill on July 27.

Pc Carter is raising funds for the Anthony Nolan Trust, which runs one of the UK’s two bone marrow registers, and The Brunswick Centre, which provides sexual health and HIV/AIDS services and outreach projects for men who have sex with men in Kirklees and Calderdale.

Pc Carter said: “I am fully behind Adrian’s campaign.

“I also want to raise the gay community’s awareness of the Anthony Nolan Trust and support the valuable work of the Brunswick Centre and the role it plays in our community.”

To show your support for Mark, you can donate at a branch or send a cheque made payable to Sign Up For Sudders to Katie Campling, Huddersfield Examiner, Queen Street South, HD1 3DU.
