CUSTOMERS at Yates's bar in King Street, Huddersfield, will be greeted by a fresh new look when it reopens next week .

A £60,000 spend has introduced new design features and colour schemes to the pub, which was created under the Kingsgate and King Street yards development.

The facelift brings it bang up to date and is part of a continuing programme to modernise all Yates's bars.

Group marketing director Ian Webb said: "Destination bars like ours that are at the forefront of fashion have to stay that way, which means regular updating of the look and feel of them."

Changes include new furniture, flooring, artwork, wall finishes and computer-controlled lighting.
