YOUNG ballet dancers from Huddersfield have been chosen to train with a prestigious dance school.

Ten-year-olds Eva Rodgers, from Highburton, and Lindsay Folan, from Mount, will become Junior Associates of Northern Ballet.

This month they start training once a week at the Northern Ballet Theatre in Leeds.

Eva’s mum Lesia said: “It is very difficult to get into.

“They are both ten and at the minimum age that the school accepts so they’ve done very well.”

The children will still carry on with their classes at Huddersfield’s Barbara Peters School of Dance.

Eva attends Huddersfield Grammar School while Lindsay goes to Moorlands Primary School, Mount.
