A NATURE event will show youngsters how to bark up the right tree when it comes to identifying woodland species.

Woodland ranger Patrick Crowley will teach youngsters how to identify trees by their bark at Oakwell Hall country park, Birstall, on Sunday, January 30.

The education will take place on a walk round the park, which starts at 1pm from the visitor centre courtyard.

The event is free, but places must be booked.

Stout footwear is recommended and the route is not suitable for pushchairs.

For information or to book, phone Oakwell Hall on 01924 326240.
