A BARN has been destroyed by fire.
Smoke was seen pouring from the barn on Owlet Hurst Lane off Norristhorpe Lane in Liversedge shortly before 2pm yesterday.
The blaze was brought under control by fire crews from Batley and Cleckheaton, but firefighters from Dewsbury and Huddersfield have been at the scene all night damping down.
The barn contained hay, straw, wood and farm machinery, all of which were destroyed by the inferno.
The cause is being investigated.
