A man accused of making threats to kill appeared in court.
Jamie Gibbons, 21, of East Bath Street, Batley, pleaded not guilty to the charge at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court.
Alex Bozman, prosecuting, said the defendant had made the threat to Lauren Gallagher, his ex-partner, at Sussex Walk, Eightlands, Dewsbury on June 4.
He pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment, a breach of a restraining order regarding Ms Gallagher imposed by magistrates on March 29.
Refusing his application for bail, Deputy District Judge Maggie McCormack, told him he would be remanded in custody and his trial would be held on July 20.
A second bail hearing she said could be held on Thursday by videolink.
