FOUR young designers who met at a Batley art class are launching an exhibition featuring a decade of talent.

Aidan Nolan, Charlie Ross, Emily Stubbs and Claire Wood all met while studying on an art foundation course at Batley School of Art and Design in 2004.

They all went off to university, but have returned to launch a reunion exhibition dubbed the Solid Foundation.

They have collated work by 20 former Batley students for the exhibition, ranging from ceramics, textiles, graphic and fine art.

Aidan and Charlie have their own design consultancy, Nolan Ross, at Huddersfield Media Centre, and Emily Stubbs has set up her own ceramic design business in Leeds. Claire Wood works as an art technician at Huddersfield New College.

Their exhibition is at Shaw Lodge Mills, Halifax, over the weekend of May 7-9.
