IT was Broad Oak leading out of Fartown pavilion in 1952, not Honley, in the semi-final of the Sykes Cup that year.

The picture we published a couple of weeks ago attracted a deal of attention and not a few sticklers for detail.

Broad Oak captain Donald W Shaw, Arthur Knight and one of the opening batsmen Philip Whiteley were identified by more than one alert reader.
