THE BBC are preparing to make a special Timewatch film about the Queen's Coronation.

And they want help from people in Huddersfield.

BBC Timewatch wants to take contributions from people from Huddersfield who took part in the ceremony itself.

They have appealed to anyone who attended the ceremony, worked behind the scenes or went to a street party, to get in touch.

The coronation of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey was the biggest and most sumptuous Royal event ever seen in Britain.

The Queen was crowned in front of more than 8,000 guests, including prime ministers and heads of state from throughout the Commonwealth. Three million people travelled to London.
