THE Huddersfield town centre Boots shop is being transformed into a beach in aid of charity.

On Friday and Saturday assistants will be wearing beachwear and giving shoppers the chance to have a makeover.

There will also be a cake sale for staff, a treasure hunt and a raffle as well as badges on sale.

All donations will go to the Huddersfield-based Laura Crane Trust.

Charity fundraiser Sarah Webb said “Having a large national store like Boots helping and supporting our work with young cancer patients by putting on this fun type of event is fantastic.

“We really appreciate their support.

“Events like this make such a huge difference to the charity and hopefully others will follow in their footsteps.”

Volunteers from the Laura Crane Trust will be at the King Street store over the two days.

They will talk about the charity and the work they do for young people with cancer.
