A WOMAN who smashed a fire door following a row with her ex has appeared in court.
Victoria Mellor, of Bishop’s Court, Berry Brow, has pleaded guilty to damaging the glass fire door belonging to Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing on July 8.
At a previous hearing Huddersfield magistrates were told that the 20-year-old’s partner had left her to live with another woman in the same building.
She said she kicked the 13th floor door ‘out of madness’ after drinking.
Magistrates agreed to adjourn Mellor’s case further until October 17.
She was granted bail on the condition that she attends an appointment with the probation service.
