A HUDDERSFIELD woman is appealing for help storing goods donated to help victims of the Asian tsunami disaster.

Claire Peters - who runs Barbara Peters School of Dancing and Razzmatazz Theatre School at Market Walk - started her appeal several days ago.

She asked people to bring unwanted clothes, household items, toys and children's items to the dance school.

But the response has been so overwhelming that she is now running out of space to store the goods.

She said: "The response was unbelievable.

"But the charities are saying they don't need these things until later on, which is fair enough.

"We don't want to block up aid routes with these things when food and emergency medical supplies are needed.

"But if we can't get this stuff there straight away, we need help from someone in Huddersfield to store it."

If you can help, contact Ms Peters on 07733 111 843.
