Matt Turner says he's 'by no means' a professional or even amateur photographer.

He said: "I am just someone that appreciates a good photograph and takes the odd photo when the moment strikes.

"Being a dog owner and having a love for the outdoors I try to get out as much as possible whatever the weather.

"A lot of my time is spent on Marsden moor and the surrounding areas; the sheer scale, diversity and solitude just hits a chord with me, I find that it is an exceptionally stunning place.

"You can often find me with my beagle exploring the moors, looking for inspiration, drama, peace, anything that it may throw my way. The changing seasons and ever changing colours means that no two visits are ever the same. It's somewhere that you need to immerse yourself and reflect.

"As well as photographing I also paint and exhibit landscapes in local galleries, namely the Harrison Lord gallery, Brighouse and Ac gallery, Huddersfield .

"All of these photographs were taken locally and I think they show just how beautiful our region is. It is something that we should be proud of and protect, as well as enjoying to the full."
