LEATHER-clad bikers were at a special church service in Calderdale.

Parishioners from the hamlet of Coley, near Hipperholme, welcomed members of the West Yorkshire branch of the Christian Motorcyclists' Association.

The 15 bikers spoke about their activities in taking the Gospel to as many different groups of people as possible.

Their work includes prison visiting, youth work and Holy Joe cafes at biking events.

The Vicar of Coley, the Rev Mark Madeley, said: "Arriving on their bikes and in leathers the only way to identify them is a large white cross on the back of their leathers. They were a great success with all age groups."
