A BINGO hall manager is to make a wheel difference by cycling from London to Paris to raise cash for charity.
Steve Jones, from Mecca Bingo at Folly Hall, will ride the six-day route in aid of Whizz-Kidz.
The organisation, Mecca’s chosen charity for 2008, provides mobility solutions for disabled children.
Pedalling alongside Steve on the ride, which starts on July 1, will be Craig O’Neill, manager of Mecca in Leicester.
Steve, 22, from Wakefield, says: “The ride will no doubt be a challenge, but it is one we are both looking forward to doing.
“We’ve been trying to put in as much training as possible so it won’t be too much of a shock to the system.’’
Steve, whose bike is being supplied by Halfords, added: “We’ve received some generous donations from club members and friends and family, but I’d still like to urge anyone who wants to show us some support to make a donation,”
Nationally, Mecca hopes to raise £250,000 for Whizz-Kids.
