A VILLAGE power cut has been repaired.
Birdsedge residents were left without power for most of Sunday after a fault at a sub-station.
The power cut was reported to the company at 9.52am on Sunday and was finally repaired at 10.40pm.
A spokeswoman for CE Electric said dozens of properties had been hit by the blackout and the company apologised for the inconvenience. She said it had been caused by a local area cable fault.
A new cable has been installed.
Homes that lost their power included ones on Penistone Road, Park Head and Park Lane.
