A MAN has handed himself in to police after a woman complained about a mystery suitor leaving her unwanted gifts.
As reported on Tuesday the 31-year-old had contacted police after repeatedly finding parcels on the doorstep of her home in Blacker Road, Birkby.
The gifts, some of which arrived on Valentine’s Day, included perfume, teddy bears and boxes containing watches and magazines.
They never contained any messages.
The woman became so concerned she set up CCTV to try to catch the man responsible.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "A 32-year old man came forward to police on Tuesday evening and is currently helping officers with their enquiries.
"The man has not been arrested. Enquires are ongoing."
