A PUPIL from Salendine Nook High School has won a place at the grand final of a leading dancing competition in Blackpool.
Charlotte Haw, 16, won one of the 52 heats for Miss Dance of Great Britain which are taking place across the country.
Charlotte attends the Adele Taylor School of Dance, on Dundas Street, Huddersfield, and takes part in various dances such as ballet, tap and modern.
The teenager will go onto the grand finals at the Blackpool Winter Gardens to compete against the 51 finalists on Sunday, June 7.
Charlotte is no stranger to success, having previously won awards including being runner-up at the North West Yorkshire Senior Tap Championships in Leeds.
Julie Haw, Charlotte’s mother said: “I’m really pleased for her – and very proud. She’s been dancing since she was two-and-a-half and it is all she has wanted to do”.
