AN attic was smoke damaged by fire last night.
Sheets spread over lighting are being blamed for the fire at a cottage in Magdale, Honley, shortly after 9.30pm.
Two fire crews from Huddersfield went to the incident, which resulted in slight smoke damage to the upper floor of the cottage.
Smoke detectors alerted the householder to the blaze.
