INVESTIGATIONS are under way into a fire which left a Sheepridge shop badly damaged.
The blaze took place at Sheepridge Off Licence on Sheepridge Road in the early hours of yesterday.
Firefighters from Huddersfield and Brighouse were called to deal with the fire, which had started in the roof of the building.
Firefighters believe the fire was started deliberately and police are still making inquiries in connection with the incident.
The building, which is a shop and off-licence with a post office inside, was undergoing a refurbishment.
