THE British National Party says it will expel people who racially abused a woman if they are members.

Two large groups of white people claiming to be BNP members abused the 42-year-old African- Caribbean victim on a Manchester Airport to York train.

BNP chiefs say it is unlikely the group are members, but if they are they will be expelled from the party.

The incident happened between Huddersfield and Leeds at 9.15pm last Sunday.

One group got off in Dewsbury and the other stayed on until Leeds.

Clr David Exley, BNP councillor for Heckmondwike and vice-chairman of Kirklees BNP, said: "I will make the members' list available to police if it will help the investigation.

"Name-calling is something we would not do. I doubt if these people were in our party."
