A MAN’S body has been discovered this afternoon in the River Colne at Slaithwaite.

A MAN’S body has been discovered this afternoon in the River Colne at Slaithwaite.

Police were alerted to the find in the village at midday and the area surrounding Bridge Street is now cordoned off.

A forensic examination is now underway.
