HOAX calls were made to three Huddersfield schools, claiming parcel bombs were on the premises.

Police are investigating the phone calls made to Colne Valley, Salendine Nook and Royds Hall high schools yesterday.

A police spokeswoman said the calls had been made at 9.50am, 10.30am and 10.35am.

All are thought to be from the same caller.

They said a parcel bomb was at each school, but no passwords or codewords were given.

The spokeswoman said the schools were not evacuated.

Further investigations were being made.
