A BOY who had his mobile phone stolen was told he could buy it back – only to be robbed again.
The boy, who is in his mid teens, was with two friends in Huddersfield’s Kingsgate Shopping Centre when they were approached by a fourth boy who knew one of them at 4.45pm on Sunday.
He asked if he could borrow a mobile phone, took it from the boy and said he was going to the toilet.
When he did not return, the victim went to the toilet but discovered he was not there.
He rang his phone and a girl who answered said he could buy it back for £25 if he met them in the Tesco car park at 5.10pm.
On arriving at the car park he was searched by the same boy who had taken the phone. He took a phone charger and some small change.
The suspect is about 14 or 15 years old, mixed race, 5ft 8ins tall, with short dark hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt.
