A BRADLEY man has appeared in court facing a drugs charge.

Michael Kimmings, of Friar Place, was before Kirklees magistrates yesterday.

He is accused of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.

The alleged offence took place at an address at Baton Drive in Lindley on September 6.

Linda Fowler, prosecuting, said that police executed a search warrant at Kimmings’ then address.

She said that on a bedside table a tub containing 90 bags of the Class B drug was found.

Mrs Fowler told magistrates that the estimated street value of the drugs was more than £700.

The bench decided that the case will be dealt with by a crown court.

Kimmings, 33, gave no indication as to what his plea will be.

He will next appear at the Huddersfield court on February 27 for a committal hearing.

Magistrates granted unconditional bail.
