A NEW glossy magazine for Huddersfield has been launched.

And it's called, simply, Huddersfield Magazine!

The classy publication is a joint effort between the Examiner and Huddersfield Town Centre Association.

It will go out to 17,000 homes in selected areas of the town, four times a year.

It's aimed at highlighting the best features of our area - with news and reviews on food, fashion and interiors.

Alison Campbell of Huddersfield Town Centre Association says: "We want to remind everyone just what the town has to offer.

"There's so much to do, see and buy.

"We'll have makeovers for local women, advice on creating new looks for rooms in your home, plus restaurant reviews and all you need to know about what's hot on the catwalk."

Travel features and profiles of Huddersfield's movers and shakers will also be regular features.

Anyone who hasn't had a copy of Huddersfield Magazine delivered to their home, and would like one, can pick one up from the Examiner at Queen Street South or from the Tourist Information Centre in Huddersfield.

Examiner advertising display manager Tracey Lawson says: "Our region is flourishing and we want to shout about Huddersfield's provision of top fashions, furnishings and food.

"What better way to grab people's attention than with this attractive, full- colour publication?"

More copies are set to be distributed to hotels, theatres, hairdressers and dentists' and doctors' surgeries, along with key retail outlets in town.
