AFTER 36 days and almost 1,900 miles, brave Jane Tomlinson was today finishing her most gruelling feat yet.

The terminal cancer sufferer tackled a hard climb up Holme Moss today as she cycled the 45 miles from Glossop to her home city of Leeds.

It was the last lap on an amazing trip that has taken the mother-of-three and her brother, Luke Goward, from Rome, through Florence, Pisa, Monte Carlo, Paris and Amiens. They also cycled up the legendary Tour De France challenge of Mont Ventoux.

So far, the tandem bike ride has raised £148,000 for charity. This is on top of the £500,000 the radiographer has raised through other challenges.

These have included three marathons, a triathlon, a half ironman triathlon and a bike ride from John o' Groats to Land's End.

She was arriving at Leeds Town Hall this afternoon to a homecoming from family, friends and supporters.
