INSPIRATIONAL fundraiser Jane Tomlinson has released a book detailing her astonishing achievements.

The book, You Can't Take It With You, captures the gruelling physical challenges she has undertaken since being diagnosed as being terminally ill with cancer six years ago.

In the past five years the mother-of-three from Rothwell, near Leeds, has defied doctors who said she had just six months to live.

The book is published just weeks after Jane, 42, captured the world's attention after completing a 3,700- mile Ride Across America.

She was joined on the ride by former Huddersfield man Martyn Hollingworth.

The new book follows the success of Luxury of Time, which was released last year.

Jane's husband, Mike, said: "We got a really good reaction to the first book, but people say it didn't cover any of the events.

"So this is a natural progression.

"The one thing we've learned from the first book has been the amount of people who have been poorly and inspired to do things.

"It's also a different type of book. This book is more event-based. It explains the big journeys and that Jane's disease got worse last December, which we haven't gone into before.

"Some things are more sensitive and better placed in a longer vehicle than a short newspaper story."
