BALDY’S Book is now on sale in Huddersfield from today.
The book is a collection of blog posts by campaigning Examiner journalist Adrian Sudbury, 27, who died of leukaemia on August 20.
Adrian launched his Sign Up For Sudders campaign in the last few months of his life, aiming to educate people about bone marrow donation.
His online diary, Baldy’s Blog, charted his campaign, as well as the rollercoaster ride of ups and downs he experienced after being diagnosed with leukaemia in November 2006.
His blog posts have been collated into Baldy’s Book and 5,000 copies are now on sale via the Examiner office on Queen Street South, at Waterstone’s book shops on New Street and in Kingsgate, and online via www.merseyshop.com. You can also buy over the phone by calling 0845 1430001.
The book costs £7.99 and for web or phone orders, there will be a £1.50 postage and packing fee.
All profits from the sale of the books will go to the Anthony Nolan Trust, the charity which runs one of the UK’s two bone marrow donor registers.
The charity helped Adrian find a bone marrow donor when he had his transplant and are heavily involved in his Sign Up For Sudders campaign.
