A HUDDERSFIELD man who photographs the Earth from space for as little as £200 has seen his story spread across the world.

Robert Harrison, who was featured in the Examiner earlier this month, was a guest on America’s biggest breakfast show at the weekend and also recorded an interview for the US TV giant CNN.

Mr Harrison, who sends cameras into space using weather balloons, told his stunning story in the Examiner and reaveled some of the spectacular photographs he has captured from miles above the earth.

The Highburton dad-of-three’s ingenious (and thrifty) method of capturing stunning pictures has earned him a slot on NBC’s Good Morning America, the country’s most popular breakfast show.

He was interviewed from his home to appear live on the Saturday morning edition of the show.

Since his appearance in the Examiner, Robert, 38, has appeared in newspapers and on websites and TV stations across the world.

CNN, America’s other news broadcasting giant, also interviewed Robert at his home.

Scientists and would-be sponsors too have been in touch about.

IT manager Robert said: “I’m really shocked. My sister lives in New Zealand and saw it on TV.

“I don’t think there’s a paper in any country that hasn’t covered it.”
