POLICE have confirmed that the death of a man in Deighton is not suspicious.
The findings of a post-mortem examination yesterday at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary allowed detectives to rule out foul play.
The body of the man - thought to be in his 40s - had been found on Thursday afternoon.
He was in a small lane leading to the rear of Hurstwood, a block of flats off Keldregate, Deighton.
The man had sustained some injuries.
The scene remained sealed off throughout the night but the police cordon was lifted yetserday morning.
A spokesman said: "West Yorkshire Police have confirmed that the death of a middle-aged man whose body was found on Thursday at Hurstwood, Deighton, is no longer being treated as suspicious.
"The man has not yet been formally identified".
It is believed he died of natural causes.
