RUNAWAY burglary suspect gave a helping hand to police – by accidentally getting himself locked up.
The man was one of three wanted by police following a burglary at Woodhouse Gardens in Brighouse in the early hours of Saturday.
All three had fled, before two men were detained on nearby Stratton Road.
The third then managed to get into a secure compound at GT Architectural Metal Services on Birds Royd Lane, but could not escape.
Officers who followed him in then also became trapped and had to call West Yorkshire Fire Service to let them out.
Two Bradford men aged 20 and one of 19 were arrested on suspicion of burglary, assault and criminal damage.
