A dealer was sentenced at court after drugs were found at his home address in Brighouse.

28-year-old Scott Jones, of Albion Street in Brighouse, was originally arrested at his home address in connection with a separate offence.

Upon searching his property, ketamine with a street value of £300 was discovered as well as amounts of cocaine and cannabis.

Jones was arrested and charged with three counts of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs and two counts of possession of Class B drugs and one count of Class A.

Jones appeared before Bradford Crown Court on Thursday July 28, where he was sentenced to 10 months’ imprisonment suspended for 12 months, and 100 hours’ community service.

He was also ordered to wear an electronic tag for a three month period between the hours of 9pm and 6am and a forfeiture order of £350.

Insp Mick Dawes, from British Transport Police, said: “Jones had been selling to his friends and following our discovery at his home address, he pleaded guilty to the supply and possession of drugs.”
