A MOTORCYCLIST had a lucky escape after his bike burst into flames.
The man, who worked at Brookfoot Business Park on Elland Road, Brighouse, had just picked the bike up in a van after it broke down.
He took it back to the business park where an electrical fault caused it to set on fire.
Firefighters from Elland and Brighouse were called at about 1.45pm yesterday.
They used a hose reel and breathing apparatus to bring the blaze under control.
It took them about half an hour to put the fire out.
No one was injured but the bike was said to have been damaged beyond repair.
A van roof was also damaged after it caught fire.
