THEY’RE the best brass band in the country.

And Brighouse and Rastrick Band are lining up alongside Billy Ocean for a music festival.

They’ve been named among the headliners at the Grassington Festival 2012.

Brighouse and Rastrick Band, together on stage with folk band The Unthanks, will bring brass and folk-infused fun to audiences on Wednesday, June 27 – the first of three days of music.

The Animals and Friends and The Move will delight fans of 60s rock, both old and young, on Friday June 29 with Billy Ocean taking to the Festival in the Field marquee stage on Saturday, June 30.

Having recently renewed their National Champions of Great Britain title, Brighouse and Rastrick Band are regarded by many as the best and most consistent brass band in the world.

They recently collaborated with Mercury-nominated Tyneside band, The Unthanks as part of BRASS2011.

And they’re coming together once again for the Grassington Festival 2012 outdoor show.

Organisers described their appearance as an “opportunity to see The Unthanks once again perform folk-led material from their repertoire, accompanied by the epic backdrop of the Brighouse and Rastrick Band. A unique live collaboration that will uplift and inspire.”
