A SOLAR panel specialist in Brighouse is creating 25 jobs as part of a drive to expand across the country.
Ploughcroft, based at Owlers Ings Road, is creating new posts for energy assessors and surveyors.
The company said it was taking action in response to the Government’s Green Deal – and continued rising demand for solar panels.
The new staff will offer renewable products and services both to the domestic and commercial markets – catering for everything from large scale installations, including local authority schemes, to domestic users.
The staff will be based at the firm’s offices at Plymouth, Exeter, Southampton, Kent, Essex, Bristol and Cardiff.
Managing director Chris Hopkins said: “At a time when many are talking the industry down due to changes in the Feed in Tariff, we have seen an increase in demand for renewable energy installations, especially in the south of the country as we expand our geographic coverage.”
