THOUSANDS of British Gas customers in Huddersfield will get lower bills - after the company today cut prices for the second time this year.
British Gas owner Centrica said it was slashing electricity bills by 6% with gas prices falling by 3%.
It follows a 17% cut in gas charges and an 11% fall in electricity bills by British Gas last month.
It means the average bill for customers buying both gas and electricity from the company is now £207 lower than it was before the March price cuts.
The reduction turns up the heat on rivals after regulator Ofgem this week said Scottish Power and EDF Energy were lagging behind other operators in reducing prices.
