Her offbeat vines are like Marmite - but there's no denying Skelmanthorpe student Tish Simmonds is the internet celebrity of the summer.

Tish, 18, rocketed to online stardom overnight after uploading a six second video in her mum's car - and two weeks on, her clips have been watched an incredible 65 million times, and she's gained 80,000 Twitter followers - including Radio 1 presenter Nick Grimshaw, Huddersfield Giants rugby player Eorl Crabtree and TV actor and presenter Tyger Drew-Honey.

She's inspired fans to do their own versions of her original video, where she tells the camera: "I'm in me mum's car... broom broom!"

And fans the world over have been tweeting pictures they've created of Tish and her mum Dawn.

She's constantly asked for selfies and has taken to wearing a disguise when she goes out; has appeared on national radio and been approached to do voice overs and adverts and has been invited to watch Huddersfield Giants with her mum by Eorl Crabtree.

She said: "I am recognised all the time and my mum is recognised with her blonde hair! I have got some glasses I wear as a disguise - sometimes it works but some people realise it's me. They say, 'oh, it's Tish! Can I have a selfie?"

"I can't say no.

"I have been on the Radio One Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw and they want me to go to London. Me and my mum can't wait to go see Huddersfield Giants. I'm a fan. It will be our first match. Eorl invited me and I said 'Oh my god!'"

"There are a lot of remixes of my vines and there are a lot of pictures. I like some of the pictures but some of them aren't very nice. There are a lot of fake Twitter profiles by people pretending to be me. It makes me feel a bit sad because some people are saying I'm thick."

Kirklees College student Tish previously deleted her vines because of the bullying she received - but decided to carry on and made a vine telling others how to deal with haters.

She said: "I just do vines as I go along - I think of something and then do it. I did one in the bath.

"I'm thinking all the time about what to do next."
