A BROWNIE pack is on the lookout for a new leader as its present one retires next week.

The 4th Huddersfield English Martyrs Pack, from Dalton, is holding a party for current leader Lorraine Geaney next week as she retires after 15 years in the post.

But as no-one else has come forward to take her place, the pack is being forced to close and 30 girls are set to miss out.

A fancy dress party is to be held for Mrs Geaney on Wednesday. Itm will be at the club, behind the English Martyrs Church, from 6pm to 7.15pm.

The theme is anyone from the 20th century, ranging from pop stars to film stars. Current and former Brownies are invited.

Anyone interested in taking over should phone Jean Beverley on 01484 606074.
