A HOSPITAL ward is still closed at Calderdale Royal Hospital a week after being hit by a winter bug outbreak.
Medical ward 1 is still turning away new admissions after patients were struck down with sickness and diarrhoea more than seven days ago.
A total of five wards at the Halifax site were affected by the outbreak.
Four have since re-opened.
Today hospital officials said they expected Ward 1 to remain closed for several more days.
Huddersfield Royal Infirmary has not been affected by the outbreak.
