A BURGLAR was disturbed as he stole from a house in Honley.
The thief was challenged by the householder as he tried to make his getaway from the house in Southgate at 12.25pm yesterday.
He said he was checking on door locks and left, taking a purse containing cash and bank cards.
The suspect was a scruffy white man in his 40s, 5ft 11in tall with dirty brown-grey hair. He had a thin face and wore a navy blue open jacket and blue jeans.
