Traffic queued through Halifax town centre after a bus crashed into a wall.
The Yorkshire Tiger bus crashed at the junction of Horton Street and Union Street at around 2.10pm on Saturday, blocking the road opposite B&M Bargains.
There were no passengers on the bus and the driver was not injured. The crash damaged two stone planters at the bottom of Horton Street.
Witness Kimberley Stock said it the crash caused jams for traffic driving through Halifax town centre.
Firefighters attended the scene and the bus was towed at 4.10pm.
Inspector Carlton Young of West Yorkshire Police said it was thought the bus suffered from mechanical failure but enquiries are ongoing.
