A COUNCIL predicts it will have overspent by £1.83m this financial year.
Calderdale Council has forecast an overspend of £1.5million in the Children and Young People’s Service and £0.33 million by Communities.
Other council departments broke even on their budget, a report to Monday’s cabinet shows.
The report says: “There are a wide range of financial pressures facing the council and its directorates – some specifically as a result of the economy and some due to demand for the council’s services.”
The council had a net budget of £182.808million.
