A Kirklees Council spokesperson said: “Kirklees has so far been very fortunate in comparison to our neighbours in Calderdale. We have only received reports from a small number of properties that have been affected by flooding and we are providing them with advice and assistance as necessary. We would encourage anyone who has been affected by the floods to contact the council on 01484 414888 so that we can support them.”
