FINANCIAL allowances for councillors in Calderdale are unlikely to be increased.
A report, to be presented to the Standards Committee on Monday, recommends that the figures agreed last February should remain.
If backed, all councillors will again receive a basic allowance of £10,454.
In Kirklees for 2010/11 the amount allocated per annum to each elected councillor for basic ward duties is £12,566.
In Calderdale, those with special responsibilities are entitled to a higher figure. The council leader, Clr Janet Battye, will again get an annual allowance of £31,362 while cabinet members receive an allowance of £12,545.
In 2010/11 in Kirklees the council leader received less – £25,155 – while cabinet members got £12,274.
Kirklees Council have not yet set a date to debate their allowances for the 2011/12 year.
