PLANNERS will decide this week if a portable cabin, can remain in a Huddersfield street.
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust set up the office five years ago as a temporary measure to deal with staff overcrowding at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
The cabin, which houses 19 staff from the Children and Adolescents Mental Health Service, juts into Acre House Avenue in Lindley.
Kirklees Council’s Huddersfield Planning Sub-committee will decide if the trust can continue to use the portable cabin.
Officers have recommended that the office should be allowed to stay until November 2013.
Two Acre House Avenue residents have written to Kirklees objecting to the proposal.
The sub-committee will rule on the plan at its meeting at Huddersfield Town Hall from 1pm on Thursday.
