DARING drinkers bared all for charity in Skelmanthorpe.

And the Calendar Boys from The Windmill pub, Busker Lane, have raised £1,087 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The calendar, which has sold more than 170 copies, featured the men with strategically placed objects participating in activities including darts, bowling and cards.

Pub landlord John Hirst was among the models taking part, posing as Mr July.

His wife, Carol, said: "All the men were very brave and I am really proud of them for the way they have done it.

"They were all very nervous.

"My calendar boys did fantastic, I think, and I am very proud of them all. They were very courageous to say I just dumped it on them in such a short time.

"They had no chance to get in shape, not that they would have, they all like their food and beer too much."

The oldest participant was 67.

And now it's the turn of the female customers - they plan to pose for a calendar for next year.
